Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Features Kimetsu No Yaiba Singer LiSA’s Power Vocals

seren04 • 06/12/2023

Have you heard of Kimetsu No Yaiba opening song “Gurenge”? Wonder who was behind those power vocals giving you a strong punch? It’s no other than LiSA! And once again, she showcased her raspy voice singing the background song in the Japanese trailer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

LiSA shared her adoration for Gwen, a cute yet strong Spider-woman, and singing the theme song for the Japanese dub was a great honor for her. She hoped fans would enjoy “REALize” as the heroes burst across the screen.

The story centered on Miles Morales, who reunited with Gwen Stacy, only to be catapulted across the multiverse and met a number of Spidermen in charge of protecting its very existence. Faced with an adversary, the heroes clashed over handling a threat. Miles found himself in a quandary, voicing his refusal to sacrifice the people he loves for the sake of millions of others. He must redefine the meaning of a hero with what he believes in.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse follows the events of the 2018 computer-animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It is set to premiere in the United States on June 2 and in Japan on June 16.

The main cast for the Japanese dub film is Miles Morales voiced by Kensho Ono, Gwen Stacy voiced by Aoi Yuki, Peter B. Parker voiced by Mamoru Miyano, and Miguel O’hara voiced by Tomokazu Seki.

The first film was inspired by anime and featured the work of Japanese animators and took home an Academy Award in 2018. The film’s creators including directors Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, as well as producer Phil Lord, have hinted that the sequel will include a nod to Toei’s Spider-Man.
