Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga Promotional Video Features Mulasaki-Imai’s Song

Raised by a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura paved his way to become a respected exorcist and ceased to be overshadowed by his prodigy twin brother. The day came when truth sprung up to the surface. A promotional video for Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga was streamed by Aniplex. The video previewed the ending song “Gakkyū Nisshi” written by Mulasaki-Ima. The upcoming arc will premiere on January 6.

The production team includes: Daisuke Yoshida as the director, Toshiya Ono as the script head, Yurie Oohigashi as the character designer and chief animation director, and Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are the composers.

UVERworld is singing the opening theme song, “Eye’s Sentry” for the anime.

The Blue Exorcist manga was launched in Jump SQ in 2009. It went on hiatus last July 2021 and resumed in May 2022. The manga adaptation consisted of a 25-episode and the Blue Exorcist: Kuro Runs Away From Home OAV both premiered in 2011. The Blue Exorcist movie then debuted in Japan in December 2012. The Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga television anime with 12 episodes aired in 2017.

The anime is based on Kato’s original manga from volumes 10-15. Several novels and stage plays have also been inspired by the franchise.
